Wings Over Dallas, October 29-31

Redbird Squadron will volunteer at this annual event at Dallas Executive Airport. Squadron members will work at tables where attendees can write thank-you letters to veterans and use the squadron's two flight simulators to introduce visitors to flying airplanes. More information

Wreaths Across America, December 18

Redbird Squadron will assist with laying wreaths at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on Saturday, December 18. This annual event helps us honor and remember the sacrifices made by our military and allows the opportunity to teach younger generations what it means to serve. DONATE (a portion of the proceeds is returned to the squadron to fund cadet activities)

Model Rocketry

November:

At the November 14 meeting, we will begin the process of earning the Model Rocketry badge and build Goddard Rockets -- small, rubber band-propelled rockets made of pipe insulation. 

January:

At the January 9 meeting, we will move to part two of the Model Rocketry badge and build Estes rockets. We will launch them at a date to be determined in January.

February:

At the February 13 meeting, we will build rockets capable of carrying a 2-ounce payload OR a multi-stage rocket OR a rocket that will launch a glider. We will launch them at a date to be determined in February.
