In Civil Air Patrol, there are opportunities outside of your local squadron. Pictured here are cadets who were selected from all over the country, including Alaska, New Mexico, New Jersey, and even Puerto Rico, who gathered in Nacogdoches, Texas at the Texas Wing Headquarters to participate in MOTS. One of our favorite times of the year is Aviation Discovery Fest. This year on October 4 - 6, the Commemorative Air Force hosted Aviation Discovery Fest at Dallas Executive Airport. It was a weekend full of aerospace experiences. Redbird Composite Squadron provided the flight simulator and helped visitors experience the excitement of flight.

On March 17, 2024, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett was inducted as a member of Civil Air Patrol's Congressional Squadron and received the honorary rank of lieutenant colonel. Redbird Composite Squadron was honored to host the event.

Redbird Composite Squadron was honored to have Jack Eagen, who attended the United States Military Academy (West Point) and became a helicopter pilot, as a guest speaker. Our cadets learned about the admission process, and what life is like in the military academies.
